A recap of the existing Charity Governance Code and a digest of changes in the new version to remind/brief delegates of the standards to which the Charities Commission expects charities to operate.
Practical examples and discussion of any challenges to be overcome in implementation will assist delegates in their planning for any changes that may be required.
Who should attend?
This event is aimed at Trustees and Chief/Senior Officers of Charities.
By the end of this session, attendees will be able to:
- Refresh their charity’s understanding of the established Charity Governance Code
- Understand the higher standards recommended in the new version of the Code
- Undertake a review of their charity’s compliance with the standards and create an improvement programme for presentation to a Board Meeting.
The session will be delivered by Dave Pinwell.
Dave Pinwell has been CEO of the Colebridge Trust for over a decade having retired from a career in the private sector. Through Colebridge’s Solihull SUSTAiN arm, he has led and been actively involved in providing advice services to the VCS in Solihull, including the provision of governance/constitutional support to a broad range of organisations.
