Writing Better Funding Bids with Alan Crawford
Competition for funding is fierce. This workshop will give you the knowledge and tools to ensure your funding applications hit the mark every time.
At the end of the session, delegates will have the following understanding:
- How to plan funding bids correctly avoiding the common mistakes
- How to identify existing funding opportunities with some indication of likely success rates
- How to present funding bids in a more compelling way
- How to ensure projects are properly costed.
Your trainer: Alan Crawford has spent the last 6 years in Solihull, working with voluntary groups of all sizes to secure grant funding. During that period he helped raise over £7m in capital and revenue funding, enjoying a success rate of just under 90%. Alan has also delivered consultancy support to a range of other groups across the country on fundraising. In addition he has delivered training on fundraising to a broad audience from the public and voluntary sectors. Alan is a panel member for the Heart of England Community Foundation and a Trustee of two local Foundations and is therefore experienced in the scrutiny process of assessing bids.
Please note parking in and around the centre is limited to 1 hour within the identified bays. Delegates are advised to park in unrestricted areas on Dunster Road (a short walk from the centre).
This workshop is provided by the Solihull Community Enterprise for Success Programme 2016-19 funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and supported by GBSLEP Growth Hub.
